Welcome to the 'Spring Day for Europe' website for Ireland
Spring Day for Europe is an annual campaign to encourage debate, interaction and reflection on European themes. It aims to help teachers and students across Europe to exchange information, discuss and share opinions regarding European issues or simply learn more about other cultures.
This site aims to complement the Spring Day for Europe portal (www.springday2010.net) and promote the campaign among schools in Ireland. It features a collection of links to online activities, competitions and resources which can be used to enhance lessons focusing on Europe.

This year Spring Day is celebrating "Citizenship and Fundamental Rights" as part of Europe’s cultural and social identity. Spring Day 2010 is also promoting solidarity and social cohesion in schools – supporting the goals of the European Year of Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.
